Your health data stays on your device. Your photos, medications, schedules, and history are never uploaded, stored externally, or shared with anyone — including us. Two optional features use the internet: viewing drug information (the app anonymously looks up publicly available data from U.S. government services) and sending us feedback (only when you tap Send). Neither includes your personal or health information. See the Privacy Policy tab for details.
From official U.S. government sources: FDA drug labeling (via openFDA) and consumer drug guides from MedlinePlus, a service of the National Library of Medicine. This information is educational only — it is not medical advice, and you should always talk to your doctor or pharmacist about your medications.
Scan the printed information sheet that comes with your prescription (the paper from the pharmacy bag), not the bottle. Lay it flat in good lighting and the scanner will find it automatically. The sheet lets the app fill in much more for you — the medication name, dosage, directions, quantity, refills, and fill date — and can even set up refill reminders and pill-count tracking automatically.
MyPrescriptionPal requires an iPhone or iPad running iOS 26.4 or later.
MyPrescriptionPal is free to use for the basic plan. A monthly or yearly subscription can be purchased that unlocks enhanced functionality. A one time "Lifetime Pro" plan can also be purchased that will permanently unlock the Pro features.
The best way to reach us is right in the app: go to Settings → Send Feedback to report a bug, ask a question, or request a feature. Feedback is anonymous — we read every message, even though we can't reply to you individually.
Settings → Send Feedback in the appLast updated: July 19, 2026
MyPrescriptionPal is designed with your privacy in mind. Your health data — your medications, schedules, photos, and history — stays on your device. We cannot see it, and we never sell or share anything. The app talks to the internet in only two narrow, optional situations, described below: anonymous drug-information lookups and feedback you choose to send.
All medication information you enter or scan — schedules, doses taken, notes, and label photos — is stored locally on your device. It is never uploaded to any server, cloud service, or third party. We have no ability to access, view, or retrieve it.
When you view a medication's Drug Information, education links, or the Interaction Check, the app fetches publicly available data from U.S. government services: FDA drug labeling via openFDA (api.fda.gov) and consumer drug pages via MedlinePlus Connect (medlineplus.gov), services of the FDA and the National Library of Medicine. These requests are anonymous and contain only a standard medication identifier (an RxNorm code) — never your name, your schedule, or anything else about you. Responses are cached on your device so repeat lookups often need no internet at all. We do not operate these services and do not receive these requests; their own privacy practices are described on their government websites. Drug information shown in the app is educational and is not medical advice.
The app includes an optional Send Feedback form (Settings → Send Feedback). If — and only if — you tap Send, we receive: your message, the category you picked, the app version, your iOS version, and whether you have a Pro plan. Feedback is anonymous: the form has no email or contact field, and nothing about your medications or health is included. Feedback is stored securely with our hosting provider (Supabase), is used only to improve the app, and is never sold, shared, or used for advertising or tracking. To request deletion of feedback you sent, submit a new feedback message asking for deletion (mention the approximate date of the original) and we'll remove it.
Beyond feedback you voluntarily send, we do not collect any personal information, health information, usage analytics, or tracking data of any kind. The app contains no advertising and no analytics platforms.
The app allows you to export your medication schedule and reports as PDFs. These files are generated locally on your device. We do not receive a copy of any exported files.
If we make changes to this privacy policy, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.
If you have any questions about this privacy policy, contact us through the app: Settings → Send Feedback. Feedback is anonymous, so we can't reply individually — but every message is read.
